The goal I wish to convey is not let other drivers cause me to change what I'm doing behind the wheel.

Maintain course and speed.

What's going on behind me is every bit as important as what's in front of me.

Like Jeff said "I could see him a couple hundred yards behind..." is perfect.

That prepares the emotions for what's coming. Stay chill, just do you.

Don't overuse the flashers.

A "handful" is too many. Exactly 2 or 3 flashes the most.
