Yep, apparently he owns a house and ranch in the Lake Tahoe area, which gets snowfall that most people on earth seriously cannot imagine. 10' drops from one storm and this last week or two has seen storm after storm. He had just posted a picture on IG of his buried car.
When I first read the news story on this with no details given, I was trying to imagine how someone could be critically injured while plowing snow? I was thinking that he hit a buried solid object at high speed, that is one way that people get hurt. Another would be rolling off of a steep hill or mountain.
Once I saw that it was a snow cat, (as opposed to a truck or wheeled vehicle), it made more sense. Snow cats can be very dangerous and kill people but this isn't how it usually goes down. Hoping for a miraculous recovery for him.
