Watching TV pundits today saying how rare Hamlin's collapse in last night's MNF game was got me thinking. Not making light of the incident at all, just wanted to pass along these other two incidents.
In 2021 during an opening round of Euro 2020 (played in 21 due to "covid"), Christian Eriksen of Denmark arrested on the pitch. At the time he played for Inter Milan, formerly of Tottenham Hotspur. Everyone thought his career was over. One pacemaker later and he is back in the PL playing for Manchester United.

In 2012 another PL player, Fabrice Muamba, collapsed on the pitch also with cardiac arrest. I saw a TV piece a couple of years ago where they spoke with the Dr that was present at the game as a fan and went on the pitch to save Muamba's life. IIRC, that was the end of Muamba's career.
