I'm not sure on your car but for the SCs there is a speedo connector right next to the gear shift transmission coupler that you have to disconnect between the back seats anyway. So you can disconnect the speedo there as well and shove out the grommet into the engine area. Easier than yanking out that sensor.
See picture below. The speedo wire cable has a couple clips on the side of the 915 going from the back along the transmission up to the sensor.
