I will not own an aggressive dog .... period.
My Labs, some GSDs, and even Dobermans I've been around would likely save a child from harm too ....

When I was born, my dad was a cop (an under cover Narc actually). He knew the guy that trained the police dogs. About the time that I was 3, they had a GSD that they could train to do anything except attack, which at that place and time, made it not useful as a police dog. Somehow my dad was able to have the dog. He brought it home. Like I said, I was 3, my mom was 4'11", but neither one of us ever had a problem with that dog. But, if I was in the back yard playing and someone that the dog didn't know approached, the dog made it known that the family was off-limits. It was very protective of me and my mother, and certainly seemed as if it wasn't going to have a problem being aggressive. I guess it just needed a pack to protect.
