I don't expect turbulence to be a problem with either solution.
I would be concerned about rodents getting through and that it is designed for roof mount - being that vertical mount has little side-loading on the bearings, it will likely have bearings designed for minimal side loads. OTOH, I doubt you will be using it as much as a commercial space.
