Best thing to do now is invest in a BMW (as in from them directly) replacement trans whether new or reman. I can tell you from experience that every auto trans that we installed that was not from BMW had a problem. EVERY single one. These were sourced from 'reputable' reman builders, some that may sound familiar. Because the warranty companies would not pay up for one from BMW.
Your client takes the hit once, then no worries till end of vehicle life. As for Carvana doing anything, even with a warranty that is in service - good luck. They are laying people off, performing almost no actual check-overs / PDI's, addressing issues before resale. The sharks are circling .................I wouldn't waste my time, they will just keep stalling.
