My greatly loved eldest dog K.C. crossed the Rainbow Bridge today. I am devastated. His health and mobility have been declining fairly quickly in the last week, although he did get up and get in the car for a ride on Tuesday. I think he knew it was going to be his last. He passed peacefully at home. The vet came and did the tough part. Meanwhile my wife and I were in tears. He was "one in a million" , smart, happy, and just a great companion.
