I have my Dad's old Seagull in excellent condition. I believe it's 1-1/2 Hp., direct drive forward. I haven't run it in years but I used to love taking it fishing on a canoe or Jon boat.
If you used the correct procedure, it would fire up on the second pull and launch you along at about half throttle. Idle didn't really go low enough, but I learned the concept of four stroking a two stroke.
Sadly, I don't currently have a small enough boat to use it.
