Yeah, I've moved away from all "white" things, too. Alternative pastas have actually come a long way--both the veggie kinda and there's brown rice-based pasta now.
I drink milk or water, only. I do miss soda...
I used to "fast" semi-naturally as some others here. No breakfast, start my eating day at lunchtime (around noon), and often skip dinner. I did snack a bit too unhealthy, though. I've migrated to eating 5-6 small meals a day, keeping my body working on digesting/metabolizing pretty constantly. I feel much better and work out every night after work without feeling tired.
