MXMARK, my teener is now my daily driver and 30 years old at that. We do have the Acura for her and any long trips we might make. All of the services for that are done by the shop and I would never touch that weird looking engine (I would'nt even try, its a maze of strange stuff).
What you are saying is dead on, I am going to write up a daily, monthly and yearly check/service list. It's easy to cry "money pit" and "time eater" but I made the decision to drive a car thats (relative) old, so it needs all the love I can provide. After all she is toteing my ass to work to make money. Of course to spend on her.... a vicious circle. German Christine... she calls me now... a siren song. Must go.
