I wouldn't let it stop you from driving and enjoying it. But, yes, it is a bit more stressful thinking about some idiot plowing into you at an intersection.
People say "just insure for agreed value and you'll be fine". I have mine insured at agreed value but even after your insurer cuts you a check - good luck finding another one just like yours in today's market. I would not want to be shopping for an air cooled car right now.
