I used to be into low mile, all original (including paint) cars. Had some really mint 80s 911s in the 20k mile range, and a 5k mile Ferrari on 25 year old original tires, for example.
Truthfully, I never really fully enjoyed them. It might not make sense, but I felt responsible for preserving, say, a 6000 mile all original 30 year old “collector” car.
Because to me, if it’s damaged, no amount of money can bring it back to what it was.
For that reason, in my older years I’ve not bought a single original paint fun car. Or any really low mile ones. And I’ve driven them all. For fun, to the grocery or hardware store, etc. They’ve all been super nice, very clean cars. But just not all original.
My enjoyment of cars has been much higher after I broke the garage queen habit.
