One of my jobs I enjoyed when I worked for an F1 inshore power boat race team was kneeling on the pontoon just behind the boat right above the prop aiming the boat for the driver by holding the engine cowl
We used to blast air at the prop to help cavitation so it would spin up faster as the start was a dead engine start
Engine was a Mercury, 3ltr, 2 stroke that revved to 10k
