When you order from Amazon, they tell you when stuff will arrive. Sometimes that's farther out than two days because they don't have it or don't have it in a warehouse within two days of you. The date that they give is right 99.9% of the time.
The delivery issue that you ran into probably didn't really have anything to do with Amazon.
It was probably an issue with the shipping company. I think even the Amazon delivery folks are contractors.
And how often does that happen? Even if it was a mishap that was Amazon's fault, were they happy to give you a refund?
I've had a similar experience or two. Amazon always makes it right with a refund or a replacement shipment.
I am always careful to order only Prime or if I prefer something not Prime, I'm careful about who the seller is, what their refund/return policy is, and what their reputation is.
