Note that, while the (German) audio plays fine for me while using the excellent VLC media player, I get no audio playing this in QuickTime on my Mac -- Understand there's a similar issue with windows media player.

Unfortunately it’s due to the AAC audio codec I used when re-encoding the video with burnt-in subtitles. Windows Movies & TV Player and QuickTime do not support this codec. In theory you should be able to download the codec (from
K-lite for example) and it should but I couldn’t get it to work on HarryD’s Windows Movies & TV Player. Windows Media Player 12 seems to be working though. Easiest fix, as darrin mentioned, is to use
VLC player, a free of charge and lightweight video player.
Alternatively you can just turn on the English subtitles on YouTube (click the little gear and select English captions).
One more thing, if anybody has a publicly accessible link for the English version of this service guide let me know:
