Gradually introducing Skoon (because we weren’t sure how the kitties would respond) was a pain to clean. The change is pretty much complete now. I don’t know how the cost compares to standard litter.
Of course they do. But what happens to the absorbed litter? Does it completely clump and easy to remove and trash?
Why not two boxes with each, and give the cats a choice?

Cat piss becomes toxic to humans after a while.
A neighbor uses some kind of plastic-wrapped pellets which turn into dust with enough piss.
I never understood this method.

I use A&H multi-cat unscented purple box for lack of a better product.
It does not fully clump to urine..a downside..but there is usually no dust smell or clay tacking .
About $25/40lb box here iirc.

Kitty is thankfully very active on both ends and has used up most of those lives and my pocketbook..
