I’m running Maxilite 7R rear rims with 20mm spacers so I’m not sure if I could run a 205/70 without having an issue with rubbing on a stock ‘71E. I don’t plan to do any body work (roll or flare the rear fenders) so I’m wondering if I can fit these tires without body mods with my current rims / spacers.

Any advice would be appreciated.

205/70x15 is over an inch taller than 185/70 x15 or a 215/60 x15, not sure you would want to go there.

185/70 on 6 and 215/60 on 7 would be about as tall as you would want to go and should fit ok w/ 7R+ spacer in back,

assuming maxlite 7r is ET49, a 20mm spacer gives a net ET of29, this should just barely allow the 215/60 to be interference free, if not a little thinner spacer will

215/60 on a regular 7ET23.3 w/ a stock suspension will usually hit a couple of inches up above the lips
