Has anyone suggested a first gen Toyota Sequoia yet? I recently went looking for a Land Cruiser to fit my budget but came up short. The cheapest I found was a 2000 LC with about 240k miles for $14000 on the SF Bay Area. Then I looked for alternatives on YouTube and came across a huge following for the Sequoia or “Tree” on YouTube speak. Anyway, that’s what I bought.
Here’s my 2003 Sequoia Limited with all the bells and whistles including 4wd. This already had the lift and wheels installed. I put BF Goodrich KO2s on and had the timing belt, water pump replaced. I changed the tie roads and ball joints myself. The SUV cost me only $4500 but it does have 223,000 miles on the ODO though the 4.7 liter V8 has a reputation for being a million mile motor. It’s the same engine in the LC, Lexus GX470, FJ and Lexus 470.
