The USPS is regulated by the Fed govt as to what they are allowed to charge. They lose money because the Feds won't approve rate increases. They have no competition because no one else can deliver a letter for 60 cents. BTW, their biggest expense is pensions. We should look at the union if we want to blame running a deficit.
