His book is great.. any time I feel a bit down, I'll read it and be laughing my ass off.
His antics are legendary.

For instance, CO at some base, he was hunting for slugs in the pistol range, to shoot seaguls with a slingshot.
the base police took offence, and told him to knock it off or else.

So Hoser went into the offense and started reporting the base police for speeding violations and what not.. basically got under their skin so bad that he ended up getting permission to to the shooting range, to fetch his slugs with permission

Another time there was a rule about wearing a belt at all times.
Base police gave him crap about it , so now Hoser shows up at briefings wearing a belt around him... Guys, gotta read the regs, y'all are in violations.. a belt must be worn AT ALL TIMES.

During Vietnam he'de come blazing through the marshal stack in full AB with a test SAM warning blasting through the radio channel..

or how he did the absolute best **** Hot Break ever, in a Crusader, in idle..
