The cover damages easily. I tore a small patch off the corner today fitting the windscreen.
I recently bought one from an eBay seller, shipped from Turkey (are these all coming from the same mfg?). My experience was closely like yours: LOTS of adjusting, fitting, routing out of the foam backing with a Dremel, file, sandpaper, etc. I eventually got it to fit, and Im really happy with the result, but the fight was real.

The kneebars that came with my kit fit perfectly tho, and Im suuuper happy with them.
