The thermostat box is more than 15 years old. My family home had one 40 yrs ago. The closet box may be a newer communicator - I would think the T-stats would be out of the loop.
My Honeywell wi-fi T-stats do turn on the blower for 'recirculation' 35% of the time and at a lower blower speed - uses little relative enrgy and balances out the room temperatures. Fan settings are Auto - ON - and Circ etc.
The AV breaker will only cut out your outdoor AC condenser unit. The furnace fan is powered by 120V and located separately.
I am glad to answer early - none of what I said is wrong but won't be an helpful as others!
