I was pleasantly surprised to find that when I disconnected my battery in my '09 997.2 C2S to replace all four door speakers, I didn't have to reset the radio memory with my preferred stations, nor did I have to "retrain" the windows. I had the battery disconnected twice -- once for four days for the driver's side speakers, and the second time just for a day for the passenger side speakers. The only thing I noticed was a notification that PSM (or maybe it was PASM?) had failed, but that was just a result of the battery being disconnected, I believe, and there have been no further notifications.
I would imagine that for the OP's 991.1 car, the situation would be similar.
