jryerson be carefull, there are very big differences between eclipses, designed to be a college kids gas efficient vehicle at a reasonable price while still being mildly pretty, and a skyline, designed to be a heavy stable highway/street machine with a very high potential motor. 2.0 L economy motors, and high reving 2.8L straight sixes share next to nothing in common. The 2.0L must be extensively modified to handle serious power on a reliable basis (this is generalized, i know that mistubishi made some rock solid 2.0 motors that can handle there share of boost), where as this straight six can take 700hp before needs to be opened. Not only that, but then you take into account the all wheel steering and AWD and now you've made a high powered heavy car that any guy can jump into and be very fast with little to no skill. You know, no that i think about it, this car sounds very familiar. Minus the all wheel steering, and add a better torque curve, and you have the concept behind the 996TT.
