Steve, most .22 rifles like yours have a grooved receiver. Those will accept 11mm scope rings that clamp onto the dovetail formed by those two grooves.

If the scope you're considering is like most (scope w/separate rings that attach to rifle), it probably comes with rings that mount to a Picatinny rail (different dimensions than the grooves on your .22). If so you have a couple of options: 1) buy the scope and buy new 11mm rings to mount to your .22 or 2) buy a dovetail-to-Picatinny adapter, which will mount between your rifle's grooves and the rings of the scope you're interested in.

I'd choose option 1, mostly because it'll keep your scope height closer to the axis of the rifle bore and you may not need a cheek riser to keep your eye in line w/your scope.
