My b'day was drawn for number 66...a sure draft. Two months later, I got a letter to report to Detroit for my induction physical. I was in college at the time and passed the physical.
Two weeks later, Nixon was on tv saying the troop pullout would start immediately.
I never went....but a lot of my friends did. My older brother was there.
