One of my buddies worked at a local family owned tire and repair shop. They had a car come in with broken and detached rusted out suspension in the rear. The owner refused to have anything done. They called 911 and had the cops look at it, and they impounded the car, and it was mostly likely sold as scrap. The owner sued the shop, and they had to spend money on an attorney to fight it. They did take lots of photos, and had the police report saying the car was just not safe to drive.
