Philomena Cunk did a documentary on the history of man, maybe give it a watch? She interviews experts and asks interesting questions, for example:
The pyramids… were they built top down or bottom up?

I'm not exactly following where you're poking your fun. I know that basaltic columns are a natural phenomena. That doesn't keep folks from possibly using them to make stuff (probably easier to separate than cutting stone in a quarry). Based on the photos, it certainly looks like someone used pieces of columnar basalt to make things.
I buy into there being a civilization (or maybe a couple/few) that used that location over a period of time and built it up in layers (not a new or ground breaking theory). And I'm even OK with pushing timelines. But I want to see good, scientific evidence supporting or backing up those claims. A little scientific disagreement is not a problem, and is to be expected, and probably healthy. But there doesn't seem to be much on this site, which I would expect.
