It has been said that you need a strong architect or a strong contractor, not both.
As long as your contracts with the subs are tight, you should be good. When the inspector fails something, have it in writing that the sub will correct in a timely matter.
Plan on going over budget and taking 50% longer. If you have idle days you are not doing it right.
