Drifting is very close to ice skating in its conception. You aren't awarded for the sickest tricks and the craziest burnouts, but the style and technique which you put into every trick. It takes many many years to become an accomplished drifter, it isn't like driving around a racetrack where once you learn the line and the limits of your car you hit a plateau.
