Same thing happened here with our electric oven about 30 years ago. My mom was visiting and helping out in the kitchen. Shoved a meat loaf in the oven after pre-heat. There was a lever on the front above the oven door below the range for self cleaning mode. Mom pulled the lever all the way over and it locked everything up. I pulled the breaker and it was still all locked up. I raised the range top and was able to jimmy the lever lock. Self cleaning never worked after that but so what.
