Today I bit the bullet and tried to do a teeny bit of body work. In another thread I presented the problem. My driver door hinge stop was broken and over the years the bottom of the door got “sprung” where the leveraged force bends the edge of the door out.
I tried but the hinge was already all the way “in” see registration marks.
So after consulting the brain trust on the thread

I gave it a go.
First I tried a piece of wood but it was too soft. Second I used a thick plastic trim gadget and aligned it with the face of the protruding area. I hammered and hammered, checking every few swings. Here is where it ended up. Only one small ding in the paint on the very edge which I already touched up.
