Some sort of tussock moth caterpillar. Our place will be covered in them in the next month or so. Right now we're getting forest tent caterpillars. The first year that we lived here, I thought, "I'll let the caterpillars do their thing." But when the house is covered in them and they are everywhere (hundreds) I figure I can spray some insecticide and lose a few.
