Hi Everyone,

Thank you for the kind words, I'm sorry that I had to disappear for over a year. Unfortunately, I have been in a super contentious divorce and I was worried that all I was writing would somehow be used against me. Well, and I was right. All of my posts were used as evidence in a way to try to value my projects and money spent. Can't believe it.

The good news, I was able to keep all of my tools and especially my 1972 911T Restoration project that you ALL have been helping me with.

The '72 along with all of my tools, and household items for that matter are in two storage units until I find a new home. Don't worry the 911 was wrapped up well and slid carefully into place. I have a house under contract right now, but still going through the inspection period, we will see what happens soon.

As soon as I get into the house, no matter what, I will epoxy the floors and then bring in the goods!

I feel that I owe some of you a little more details due to your genuine concern of my well being. In a nut shell, I'm in a better place. My relationship was terrible and the only good thing about it was my daughter. I've spent enough money in Lawyer fees to purchase a nice G Body, to fight to ensure that I will have equal custody.

A really good thing did happen... One of the best cars that I ever owned was an '82 911 SC. I sold it in 2005 on this forum for only $14,500. Here is the post...

Well, I've been chasing it ever since. The SC had two owners after I sold it. I helped the first owner sell it to the 2nd owner which I befriended for the last 5 years. He called me a few months ago and said that the car was really mine, that if anyone should have a shot at buying it, it should be me. He waited over a month and told others to pound sound until I got the cash together. 18 years! So, I have my beloved '82 SC back. It is beautiful, I will attach some pics below. I even was able to get my old license plate back. I also held on to my 917 style shift knob that was made by a member here for fun, before anyone was reproducing them. I could write a ton on the SC. It has been tough because I'm renting a small apartment without a garage so I have not been able to get the SC back in fighting shape on my own. So, I had to take it to the mechanic, Don Jackson here in Phoenix and they got everything base lined. It drives incredibly. Then I took it to get fully detailed and waxed. The car was super dirty, previous owner only put 3K on it in 5 years, but he never washed it. Total milage is 101K. All documented. So, in 18 years the two owners put a total of 20K miles. Not too bad.

I will start posting here again to keep you up to date on the '72. I'm sure we are at least another 6 months out before I can really start working on it. But, I can't wait. We are so close to getting some primer on it. I have to finish the cowl and then start lining up all of the panels.

Thank you again everyone for your concern.

Rodney
