I remember hearing that and feeling a gut punch. I figured the Rolling Stones would break up soon as well. I missed the Stones breakup by a 50+ years.
I saw an interview with the band members of Pink Floyd, and they said the stopped to listen to Sgt. Peppers, and looked at each other and said the Beatles just changed music as we know it.
They had so many new and breaking sounds in a very short few years.
