I am having trouble figuring out what transmission is in my 06 530i. It has a case stamped 6HP49. It should have a 6HP19 or 6HP26 as I understand it. I'm sure the mechatronic valve body is from one of these, otherwise It would not have gone so many years and miles with no issues or codes. I am having some shift monitoring codes come up and I want to rebuild the valve body and put in new solenoids. But I don't know what to order. Searching for the case number I have comes up with nothing. Apparently the trans is from an actual German vehicle and was imported when this car had a transmission swapped in.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
