Good overview of available kits from Jeff.

I made my own conversion using GSXR throttles, custom manifolds and linkage. Used Pipercross filters and CNC cut custom filter backplates. Definitely not too easy but it iw working great.
Regarding idle air, with electronic throttle setup there is no need for such thing. DBW compensates for cold starts, any higher load at idle (for example high beams etc), always perfect idle like normal car.
Plus one can have custom pedal vs throttle opening profiles, helps traffic driving tremendously.
I used BMW E46 M3 (S54B32) throttle actuator and BMW E46 throttle pedal. VEMS ECU controls everything.
