I had cerakote applied inside and out on the headers. Contains the heat inside the headers - and thus it goes to the turbo where the energy actually does some good.

Same idea as turbo wrap, except it doesn't look like garbage...

Finish was very nice, and holding up very well years later, no road chips. Seems pretty tough. No FOD to the turbo, so obviously nothing chunking out from inside either.

Stainless that gets very hot always discolors and quickly looks horrible, regardless of quality. The header pipes on my Ducati look like they're made of mild steel...

Firm my shop uses - Performance Coatings in Auburn WA - have a custom mix that matches the grey Porsche/VW/Audi used on factory mufflers etc very well (splash of green in it, apparently).

I toyed with the idea of black, but it seemed like trying a little too hard, really...
