I must say I'm pretty happy with my new Dansk tank purchase. I was trying to get my old one clean, but after seeing this thread,

I decided to not waste any more time or effort on the old tank and just try my luck with a new one.
I hoped I was able to source a new tank with the strainer/ filter and not get one with just the plug. Especially after reading some of the "hit or miss" orders received by some fellow Pelican members. Once I stumbled on to a certain website, I found a description for the 85 ltr tank and it stated the tank needed the strainer and o-ring gasket. That was the sign I needed. I pulled the trigger at $397.73 (!) $11.97 shipping and it arrived today.
The part number and description on the box were wrong. I was a little worried. Even the description on the sticker stated "no strainer", however the packing slip was the correct part number ending in "05". The tank was wrapped in plastic and even had white packing foam to protect it during shipping. It even came with the filter.
Now I just want to make sure I get it cleaned out well. Any advice on what to use? Mineral spirits, diesel fuel, WD-40, Marvels Mystery Oil? I've seen a lot of suggestions over the last few years?
Pretty awesome!
