To be honest I was hoping to avoid pulling new lines as its just the return that has the check valve, the thought of reeming a 10 into a 12 doesn't appeal either so the best approach would be the stringing of fittings to accommodate the old banjo...so if I tackle that project (after testing residual pressure to see if check valve is kaput or not), I ll go the coupler route

Of course the car may be sold but this is good to know for next project!
