It never stops...if you stop or even pause for a few days you get left behind
it's hard just maintaining position and incredibly hard/almost impossible to catch teams in front of you
Every team is busy designing/manufacturing areodynamic/mechanical updates for this seasons races
Also being worked on in parallel is the design of next year's car and even simulating/laying out the design as far ahead as the new regulation 2026 cars
Sadly for the fans I don't think any team would agree to a behind the scenes Netflix type show, it would cost them too much of a competitive advantage
