Cataract surgery is one of the most common and safest surgeries out there- yet nothing is 100%
I had my right eye done 3 years ago- it was magical!!!!
Easy peasy!!

BTW, as a radiologist I have had radiation exposure much of my life.
Cataracts from radiation exposure tend to be "different" than routine cataracts. They tend to be more posterior.
I don't think it makes any difference- my eye surgeon didn't care the cause.
Get a GOOD surgeon and relax.
