I went from this 6’+ high boxes stacked to the Matco, 6’ wide box. Soon after I bought the Matco box, I replaced some of the deep drawers for shallower drawers to get more space.
It’s something I’ve wanted for decades and bought used for $2K. New is about $8K. The guy I bought it from was a Porsche technician for Baker Porsche, here in Charleston. They ordered all new boxes for the service department, so there was consistency in size and color of the boxes.
Edit. I could use a side box extension, so I would not have to stack some of my tools.
