Thought I needed new glasses but got diagnosed with 'Polar Cataracts' 4 weeks ago by my optometrist. Essentially, a tiny dot in the optical center of my eyes. I haven't had sharp focus in my vision for nearly 2 years. Surgery on first eye in 10 days (say what you will about healthcare in the US, but routine eye exam to surgery for a non-life-threatening issue in a little over a month? I can't complain
