Location: Placerville, CA.... You know, the only place on Highway 50 between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe the you find signal lights. Above the fog most of the time and I can see the stars of the Milky Way 8 out of 10 nights. Kinda cool.....

Oh heck no!!!!! This is a VariEze, so the valve lever is directly under my right forearm. Thus, when running on the fuselage tank, the lever is straight up and there is no way in the known universe I can say….” I didn’t know I was running in my reserve tank”

The LongEZ fuel selector by design, is between your knees and it’s a matter of just reaching down and switching tanks. The JD crash was a tragedy that was 100% preventable. It still doesn’t change the outcome and the number one reason you don’t deviate that drastically from the plans.

Didn’t get much done on this POS fuel line disaster other than purchasing some misc fittings to make a rudimentary template for a new Teflon SS braided with crimped ends. The next step is to seat the crimped fittings onto the 3/8” aluminum tank lines.

On an unrelated note: removed the upstairs toilet and getting ready to install a new TOTO Clayton. I will spare everyone pics of the removal and mess related to such a task.
