More San Juan wanderings

For over a decade the sovereignty was in question for this island, Brits and US had forces encamped. Nothing remains of the American Redoubt except the site. The near kerfuffle called the Pig war was over a pig that came on to an Americans farm and rooted up his garden, repeatedly. The pig got shot and that sparked the whole "well who owns this island" debate, poorly handled by both sides. Ultimately the question went to an international tribunal where it was decided where the dividing line ran through the multitude of islands was/is.
