Any hot tub repair guys here? Tubing to plastic glue?

I traced a small air leak in my hot tub to the air valve. Works fairly simply....the on/off valve mates to a 5 port manifold (only 3 ports used, other 2 capped off) and tubing goes from the manifold to the jets.

The valve body is PVC. The manifold body is PVC. No problem gluing those together.

What I don't know is can I use the same primer/glue to seal the tubing to the manifold? I have no idea what the tubing is made of but its flexible and clear (vinyl?) so I wasn't sure what would be best to use. In the original setup, the valve to manifold had some sort of grey sealant/cement, but I can see through the original tubing at the manifold connection and it looks to be a purple color sealant that seems somewhat flexible after all these years.

I'm 99% sure the air leak came from the valve and not the tubing/manifold connection so that sealant has held up very well over the past decade or so since the hot tub was new.

Any idea what it could be? Or have any suggestions on what to use?

The air isnt high pressure at all but the seals are important as even a tiny leak will send tons of little bubbles out the jets and it drives me crazy and lowers the efficiency.

Here is a picture of the connection on the underside of the valve:
