The 993 crossbrace was bent when I installed the 993 3.6 with a 915 into my 86’ coupe in 2004 as well. It’s just a different chassis thing as far as I understand. I am not sure of the dimension differences between the 3.2 and 3.6. But my intuition says the 3.6 could be a bit longer due to the size of the bore and it’s more modern chain ramp architecture etc…

I have a thread showing that the torsion tube still needs to be cut up and pounded in to fit a SBH G-50 into a G body. And yes, the crossbrace still needs to be bent forward a bit for all that to work.
I hope this clears up some questions.
