Not all doctors are incompetent or unsympathetic, but Ms Rocket is a doctor of nursing, with 40+ years of ICU experience. She sees the spectrum of doctors, and in many cases, the doctors ask her what needs to be done.

Edit. She’s amazed that people, patients, other nurses, etc. defer to everything the doctor says. Nurses will get out of the chair for the doctor to sit down. She doesn’t play that game.
